This summer is going super fast, I can’t believe we are already in the middle of July. I can’t complain it has been a pretty good summer so far. I am on my way to Kansas City tomorrow for a business trip, but should be fun. I always love to meet my customers in person.

Here is just a quick recap of reading for this week.

Last Week’s Reads:

There is a mix bag of books here, but I will try to break these down for you.

The Whisper Network – This has been one of the best books I have read this year. This one really hit home for me, but Baker did a wonderful job of portraying the not so good people that we sometimes have to work with.

This Will Only Hurt A Little – This was an unexpected joy for me. I did not have high hopes going into this, but once I got started I just loved and adored her. One thing that was relatable, is that the she is same exact age and her husband is the same age as my husband, so just felt like I have been through some of this with her.

Burial Rites – Another one that was a bit of a surprise for me. I have seen this one for a while, and always passed over it. Now that I have read this, it is a solid book. Exquisite writing with an engaging story, will always draw you in. For those of you who have not read it, give this one a shot.

Good Girl, Bad Girl – This was an Advanced Reader’s Copy that I received. It was OK for me. this was the tale of two stories. Bad Girl, was unexpected, Good Girl, extremely predictable. I am sure people who love psychological thrillers will like this one a lot.

Symptoms of a Heartbreak – For those of you that have maybe said YA is not for me anymore, this book will not help. This felt old and tired, and frankly I wanted to be done with this one as soon as possible.

Currently Reading:

American Spy – I am about 4 hours into the audiobook. I am on the fence on this one, but intrigued enough to see what happens.

In Another Time – This WWII historical fiction has multiple timelines. I am 10% in so not far enough along to exactly know what is going on, but so far I like all the characters in this story.

As I am traveling next week, I am not sure what I have on the agenda, or how much time I have to read, but I have my kindle packed with a bunch of eGalley’s, so I am pretty sure I will find a couple of good ones. Hope you all have a good week and happy reading.

You really can say I am an obsessed reader as I read 200-300 books per year. I love Literary Fiction, Memoirs (I don't really care what kind), Mysteries and Thrillers. Once in awhile I will thrown in some YA and Romance. When I am not reading, I am a Sales Engineer for a software company, and I take care of my three cats with my husband. I love music, which my college degree is in. Looking forward to share my thoughts on all things reading.
