Last week, I had the pleasure of traveling to Kansas City to meet with customers and present to a room of 180+ people. However this did not leave room for a lot of reading. I did get to read three books, mostly on plane rides, and for me these were quality reads.

In Another Time – Another great book from Jillian Cantor. She writes beautiful historical fiction. This one takes place prior to WWII and extends past. This has an element of time travel which does not feel corny at all. Beautiful love story, that does a great job of not getting overshadowed of the time/setting of this story.

Happiness for Beginners – I had never heard of this book until Ann Bogle’s One Great Read podcast. I have enjoyed other books by Katherine Center, so I gave this a try. This feels like a fictionalized version of Wild. Very fun read!

City of Girls – This was an epic read, again taking place durning WWII. Much different than In Another Time. Loved Vivian growing up through this story and the supporting cast was just as great. Enjoyable read.

Currently Reading:

Not much is happening except I am trying to finish American Spy. I have a few things in mind, but will have to see how the week progresses.

Hope you all have a great reading week!

You really can say I am an obsessed reader as I read 200-300 books per year. I love Literary Fiction, Memoirs (I don't really care what kind), Mysteries and Thrillers. Once in awhile I will thrown in some YA and Romance. When I am not reading, I am a Sales Engineer for a software company, and I take care of my three cats with my husband. I love music, which my college degree is in. Looking forward to share my thoughts on all things reading.
