Happy Monday all. Hope you had a great week. I was spent some time in Omaha visiting with customers. I happen to enjoy travel, because I get some very good reading time in. This week I read 5 books and they were for the most part solid.

Here is my recap of what I read:

The Wallflower WagerAnyone that knows my reading style, this is so not my jam. However, I have just adored Tessa Dare’s Historical Romances. She seems to inject a lot of humor in her romances and I just adore that.

The Truth is a Theory – I received this a galley. This takes place over multiple timelines the main timeline centers around a woman getting separated from her husband, the second starts in college and centers around the friendship of 4 girls. This was a solid read for me, very sad at times, but the writing was just lovely.

MotherlandThis is a memoir of woman’s tenuous relationship with her mother spanning from the seventies on. This was very short and quick read and very enjoyable.

The Birthday Girl – This started off just OK with me. This centers around a woman who is turning 40. At times it felt predictable, but the ending totally saved this book. I ended up really liking this.

American Royals – An alternate history if George Washington because America’s first King instead of President. This is a story that takes in current times. The story has 4 main characters, you love some and absolutely hate some. The biggest downfall that this is a series, and you will have to wait a year for the next book.

What did you all read this week?

You really can say I am an obsessed reader as I read 200-300 books per year. I love Literary Fiction, Memoirs (I don't really care what kind), Mysteries and Thrillers. Once in awhile I will thrown in some YA and Romance. When I am not reading, I am a Sales Engineer for a software company, and I take care of my three cats with my husband. I love music, which my college degree is in. Looking forward to share my thoughts on all things reading.
