Happy Monday all! Last week I was in Orlando on business and did not get much reading done at all. I managed to get three books in (only because I was able to read two books Sunday). I am looking forward to getting back into reading.
Here is a quick recap of what I read.
Olive, Again – I just loved Olive Kitteridge and I loved Olive even more in this follow-up. Olive is older, and is even more wry, but lets admit that is why we love her. This book is still interconnected short stories, but this felt that followed a timeline, more so than the first book. Lots of Olive but equally as much about her neighbors in Crosby, Maine. Published Date October 15, 2019
The Nanny – This is a psychological thriller that was just ok for me. There was nothing grabbing me in this story. The writing was good and kept me going, but in the end I was a bit underwhelmed.
The Stylist Takes Manhattan – I really liked The Stylist which was Rosie Nixon’s first book in the series. This one fell a little flat for me. To me this felt like Nixon was trying to emulate Sophie Kinsella a little too much and the shopaholic series. It was still fun to read, but I doubt I remember this book in a week.
What did you all read this week?
