Review: I have been hearing about this book for months now, so I gave in and picked up a copy when it came out. I read Bellweather Rhapsody, Racculia’s previous novel, which feel a little short for me. The premise of this new book sounded really intriguing, but unfortunately this ended up falling a little flat for me also.
This story centers around Tuesday, she is researcher looking for potential donors for the hospital that employs her. She is at the gala, the biggest hospital’s event, when a donor named Vincent Pryce, dies. What sets forth becomes a city-wide scavenger hunt, for a treasure Vincent left behind.
This book had a ton of elements, that it became a little confusing at times. It had humor, ghosts, side characters dealing with difficult issues. Overall, I liked Tuesday, she is a terrific character. However as the story goes on regarding the finding of this treasure, I began to lose interest fast.
I did stick with this one, and the ending was pretty good, but, it was just missing that bit of sparkle that I wanted with this one.

Looks like we have similar feelings about this one. It was interesting, but completely all over the place. And to be honest, while a fun ride, the ending to the scavenger hunt was kinda confusing for me.

I am so glad you feel that way Jocelyn. It seems everyone just loves this one. You are right about the ending. I don’t want to give anything away, but I was kind of like this is it? It was an awfully long build up for not much reward.
