Hi All…Happy Monday to you! I can’t believe we are midway through January already. At some point, it feels like the days and weeks go on and on, then I see the date and am like wow. Another week, where I have not left the house. My husband and I watched a bunch of tv (The Stand, Bridgerton, Cobra Kai, and some other shows I cannot even remember now), I did some crafting with my new Cricut, and read three books, which one of them I have major feelings about. Here is a quick rundown.

Troubles in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand – This is the third and final installment of Hilderbrand’s, Paradise series, set on St. John. This series started off really strong, but by the end of the series, I really was very meh about this storyline. I am a huge fan of this author, but this was missing some the sparkle I am used to from her writing.

The Narrowboat Summer by Anne Youngson – This book comes out tomorrow, and it 100% charm. Set in England, and is the story of two woman who have no connection, who decide to spend the summer taking a Narrowboat down the English Canal’s to help a woman they just met. This is a story of the growth of these women, and what is their next steps in lives. Along the way we meet a cast of characters, that you will fall in love with.

The Push by Ashley Audrain – This book is getting a lot of buzz by this debut author and it deserves it all. I gave this book 5 stars. This story is polarizing. As I read this book, I was very anxious and angry. I have only ever had this feeling about one other book in my life. I want to say I hated this story, but for the author to evoke these feeling, she did her job extremely well.

Hope you all had a great week. Feel free to drop a comment about what you are reading. Until next week…..

You really can say I am an obsessed reader as I read 200-300 books per year. I love Literary Fiction, Memoirs (I don't really care what kind), Mysteries and Thrillers. Once in awhile I will thrown in some YA and Romance. When I am not reading, I am a Sales Engineer for a software company, and I take care of my three cats with my husband. I love music, which my college degree is in. Looking forward to share my thoughts on all things reading.
